VDEX is excited to introduce the VSHARKs: your favorite community is now onchain!
It started out as an inside joke. Crypto denotes big hodlers as whales and those who get eaten as fish. But sharks are hungry winners who eat fish and whales for breakfast. So we commissioned some profile pictures that matched each of the team member's vibes.
But before long, the whole VDEX community dove in. Each morning, the chat would be filled with 'gvshark' greetings. Some even changed their own PFPs to our VSHARK images. A culture was born.
So, we are leaning into our community and expanding the VSHARKs into a full Soulbound token collection. Now, early VDEX users will be able to own specific VSHARKs that match their personalities and reflect their contributions.
What are VSHARK Soulbound Tokens?
Soulbound tokens (SBTs) are NFTs that cannot be traded. Thus, VSHARKs are onchain proof of your contributions, platform usage, and long-term alignment. VSHARK SBTs will live on Ethereum mainnet, serving as immutable badges of identity.
VSHARKs will only be given out to early users for a limited time, forever signifying exclusivity and legitimacy to true OGs.
How to earn a VSHARK?
VSHARKs cannot be bought, you have to earn it. Only the most committed, creative, and impactful community members will be recognized. Specifically, the VDEX team will distribute VSHARKs for:
- championing VDEX to new friends and followers
- contributing to protocol design, security, and marketing
- active and genuine use of VDEX
VDEX will also give away VSHARKs in upcoming trading competitions, so stay tuned!
